About Me
My interests include: Flights. Data. Air Ops. Autonomy. BVLOS. Hybrid Systems. Tech Integration.
I’m Karin Hollerbach, PhD
Pilot. Instrument rated, commercial crewed aircraft (ASEL) pilot, tailwheel endorsement, private pilot (ASES), certified flight instructor (CFI), advanced ground instructor (AGI), and UAS pilot, with a part 107 certificate (FAA) and A1/A3 and A2 license (EASA). Certified Skydio trainer. Chief Pilot for Aerodyne Group’s Austria-Switzerland-Germany operations; the first (only) woman Mission Pilot for CAP’s Green Flag program. Flight testing.
ConOps, SORA and Air Operations. I develop ConOps and SORA for crewed aircraft, UAS, and hybrid operations for civilian and dual-use. I handle Aerodyne’s US regulatory work. I have managed data capture programs in the US, Europe, and Africa. I lead California Wing’s (CAP, USAF Auxiliary) Advanced Air Mobility initiative and become our AFWERX liaison.
Technology Architect. I flight test new sensors, platforms and software for UAS and for crewed aircraft data capture. I integrate, test, and optimize engineering systems to enable clients to tailor data capture systems to their specific mission needs.

My Skills
l spend part of my time in the field and part geeking out with technology: I love flying, engineering, scientific inquiry, adventure. I design and implement aviation related operations for specific mission needs and integrate the technologies to make it happen. I manage programs to reach large scale ops and/or rapid deployments.
If your mission fits into my skillset, no project or job is too small or too large.
- UAS (EASA, FAA). ASEL, ASES (FAA)
- Rapid deployments – emergency services
- ConOps, SORA development
- Technology design and integration
I love unusual challenges. I’d be happy to help you solve yours.
